Der Aufsichtsrat der Waldenburger Versicherung AG hat die Verlängerung des Vorstandsvertrages von Thomas Gebhardt beschlossen.

Der Aufsichtsrat der Waldenburger Versicherung AG hat die Verlängerung des Vorstandsvertrages von Thomas Gebhardt (61) beschlossen. Der Vertrag zur weiteren Bestellung bis März 2032 wurde bereits unterzeichnet.

Thomas Gebhardt, studierter Betriebswirt, ist seit Oktober 2015 als Vorstand bei der Waldenburger Versicherung beschäftigt. Neben dem Vorstandsvorsitz ist er unter anderem für die Ressorts Vertrieb, Betrieb, Schaden, Rückversicherung, Personal und Kapitalanlagen zuständig.

Mit der Wiederbestellung von Thomas Gebhardt hat der Aufsichtsrat dem Vorstand sein vollstes Vertrauen ausgesprochen und die Zufriedenheit der Würth-Group mit der Entwicklung der Waldenburger Versicherung zum Ausdruck gebracht.

Im Interview geht Thomas Gebhardt auf die Wiederwahl zum Vorstandsvorsitzenden der Waldenburger Versicherung AG ein, benennt aktuelle und zukünftige Herausforderungen für die Branche und wirft einen Blick auf die Aufgaben, die vor ihm liegen.

Herr Gebhardt, erst einmal herzlichen Glückwunsch zur Wiederwahl. Was bedeutet die erneute Bestätigung für Sie persönlich und für die Kontinuität der Unternehmensführung?

„Vielen Dank. Für mich ist die erneute Bestellung die Bestätigung unserer Arbeit – und damit sage ich ganz bewusst ‚unsere Arbeit‘, denn ohne meinen Vorstandskollegen Antonio Niemer und natürlich unsere Mitarbeitenden kann man nicht erfolgreich ein Unternehmen gestalten.

Wenn ich die Waldenburger Versicherung aus 2015 mit der heutigen vergleiche, liegen deutliche Veränderungen hinter aber ebenso weiterhin vor uns. Genau hierin liegt der Erfolg: Veränderung durch Kontinuität – alle wissen, in welche Richtung wir laufen wollen, welche Ziele wir verfolgen und was sich dabei verändern wird. Ich bin überzeugt, dass diese Berechenbarkeit Teil unseres Erfolges ist: Unser Slogan ‚persönlich, verlässlich, leistungsstark‘ spiegelt sich in uns und um uns wider. Darüber hinaus sind Veränderungen natürlich immer personifiziert: Wer den Vorstand versteht und mit unserer Führung einverstanden ist, der wird auch die Verlängerung um weitere fünf Jahre gutheißen und den Weg weiter mit uns gehen.“

Was motiviert Sie, die Verantwortung einer weiteren Amtszeit zu übernehmen?

„Zum einen sehe ich bei der Geschäftsleitung eine Verantwortung für die Mitarbeitenden. Kontinuität ist in Zeiten des Fachkräftemangels ein erfolgversprechender Weg, um Unruhe und Fluktuation zu vermeiden.

Zum anderen sehe ich im bisher Erreichten noch nicht das Ziel und Aufgaben gibt es wirklich noch genug.

Davon einmal abgesehen ist es nicht so einfach, eine qualifizierte Nachfolge zu finden – bei kleinen Unternehmen herrschen andere Verhältnisse als bei den Großen der Branche. Wir fahren tatsächlich noch selbst und haben keinen Chauffeur. Auf Messen stehen wir selbst 10 und mehr Stunden und sprechen mit unseren Vertriebspartnern. Samstage und Sonntage sind da auch nicht immer ausgenommen und ein Arbeitstag selten nach acht Stunden beendet. Das alles muss man mögen. Ein Vertriebskollege hat immer gesagt: ‚Wer nicht brennt, kann andere nicht entzünden‘. Ich bin zuversichtlich, dass noch die eine oder andere Flamme für die nächsten Jahre in mir lodert.“

Welche Lehren und Erkenntnisse konnten Sie aus Ihren bisherigen Amtszeiten ziehen und wie wirken sich diese auf die nun bevorstehende aus?

„Das kann ich in einigen Grundsätzen zusammenfassen: Sei ehrlich, auch wenn es unangenehm ist! Beschönige nichts! Habe einen langen Atem! Lerne aus Deinen Fehlern! Versuche freundlich zu sein, auch wenn es andere Möglichkeiten gibt! Sei Vorbild und sei Dir für nichts zu schade! Was man Mitarbeitenden abverlangt, muss man auch selbst tun! Treffe Entscheidungen und setze sie um! Sei aber auch fähig, Fehler einzugestehen und Entscheidungen zu hinterfragen und zu revidieren! Arbeite im Vorstand mit- und nicht gegeneinander!

Ich denke, damit hat man das richtige Mindset, um ein Unternehmen zu verändern und profitabel zu machen. Und das ist die Kontinuität der nächsten fünf Jahre, die für jeden klar ist.“

Wie bewerten Sie die aktuellen Herausforderungen für die Versicherungsbranche?

„Die Waldenburger Versicherung steht – stellvertretend für die ganze Branche – vor einem massiven Wandel. Der Einsatz Künstlicher Intelligenz wird gerade bei mittleren und großen Unternehmen eine massive Arbeitsplatzfreisetzung mit sich bringen. Kleine Unternehmen haben diese Probleme nicht in vergleichbarer Form. Zusätzlich wird das Thema digitale Vernetzung und aus ihr resultierende Gefahren wie KI-basierte Cyberattacken gegen Versicherungsunternehmen die Branche voraussichtlich deutlich belasten. Und natürlich wird auch die Themen Klimawandel und ‚Naturgefahren‘ eine zunehmende Rolle in den Bilanzen der Versicherungsunternehmen spielen. Dies gilt umso mehr, wenn der Gesetzgeber die Pflichtversicherung für verbundene Gebäudeversicherungen einführt, was nicht zu hoffen ist, da damit die Prämien für Versicherungsnehmer extrem steigen würden.“

Wie sehen Sie die Entwicklung der Branche in den nächsten 5 bis 10 Jahren?

„Meines Erachtens werden wir eine weitere Konsolidierung erleben, sowohl in den Versicherungsunternehmen als auch im Vertriebspartnerbereich. Hier haben nur die Großen oder kleine Unternehmen die Chance zu überleben. Alles dazwischen wird aufgerieben durch den immer härteren Wettbewerb.“

Wie hat sich die Waldenburger Versicherung bisher und wie soll sie sich zukünftig im Wettbewerb positionieren?

„Wie schon gesagt: Unser Slogan ist hier die Antwort. Wir werden uns durch die persönliche Betreuung unserer Vertriebspartner und Kunden die Aufmerksamkeit sichern, die bei anderen Unternehmen einfach nicht mehr vorhanden ist. Unsere Vertriebspartner sind für uns keine Nummern sondern Menschen, die wir kennen und schätzen. Verlässlichkeit ist hier das Zauberwort: Zugesagte Rückrufe werden getätigt und wir sind erreichbar – auch ohne Callcenter.

Darüber hinaus sind natürlich leistungsstarke Produkte eine Grundlage jeder Empfehlung und Basis einer Zusammenarbeit im Maklermarkt. Aus diesem Grund sind wir auch in Ratings im oberen Segment vertreten.

Welche strategischen Schwerpunkte wollen Sie in Ihrer bevorstehenden Amtsperiode setzen, um die Position der Waldenburger Versicherung unter aktuellen Marktbedingungen zu stärken?

„Fachlich sehe ich da vor allen Dingen den Ausbau der Privatkundensparte. Auf technischer Seite werden auch wir uns mit den Möglichkeiten des Einsatzes Künstlicher Intelligenz befassen sowie mit den BiPRO-Standards. Darüber hinaus bleibt der Faktor Mensch für die Waldenburger Versicherung das wichtigste Asset und wir werden uns engagieren, um den Teamgeist weiter zu stärken, auch und gerade in klarer Abgrenzung zum Thema KI. Und nicht zuletzt werden wir weitere Maßnahmen zur Bilanzstärkung umsetzen.“

Gibt es dabei konkrete Projekte oder Meilensteine, die Sie in den kommenden Jahren umsetzen wollen?

„Natürlich gibt es die. Zum Thema KI habe ich ja bereits gesagt, dass es in Gänze ein riesiges Betätigungsfeld für uns werden wird. Trotzdem wollen wir vor allen Dingen unsere Mitarbeitenden halten und entsprechend unser Wachstum neu ausrichten. Darüber hinaus gibt es in den nächsten Jahren eine Vielzahl kleinerer Themen, wie zum Beispiel die Rückversicherungsoptimierung oder die Kapitalanlagensteuerung. Über einige Dinge kann ich allerdings zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch nicht konkret sprechen. Fakt ist aber, dass ein kleines Versicherungsunternehmen wie die Waldenburger Versicherung gänzlich anders gesteuert werden muss als ein großes. Dabei dürfen wir außerdem den Markt, in unserem Fall den Maklermarkt, nicht aus den Augen verlieren. Hier spielt für uns sprichwörtlich die Musik und ausgerechnet dieser Markt ist extremen Veränderungen unterworfen.“

Sehen Sie neue Wachstumsbereiche, zum Beispiel in Gestalt neuer Produkte oder Zielgruppen?

„Es ist schwierig, im Privatkundengeschäft neue Bereiche zu erschließen; dazu muss es neue Technologien geben. Die Versicherungsbranche stillt das menschliche Verlangen nach Schutz. In diesem Sinne ist fast alles versicherbar. Neue Technologien, wie zum Beispiel die Wärmepumpe, bringen neue finanzielle Risiken mit sich, nach deren Absicherung der Verbraucher sucht. Da kommen wir als Versicherungsunternehmen – zugegeben manchmal mit skurrilen Produktideen – ins Spiel. Ob das passende Lösungen sind, entscheidet der Kunde. Wenn zum Beispiel demnächst neue Hausroboter auf den Markt kommen, die sagen wir einmal 20.000 Euro kosten, dann sind diese natürlich über die Hausratversicherung versichert. Aber wird das ausreichen? Wenn der Kunde zum Beispiel umfassenden spezifischen Schutz will, dann werden wir die Roboterversicherung für Privatkunden anbieten. Alles ist möglich, wenn es der Kunde wünscht – das macht das Versicherungsgeschäft ja so interessant. Es bedeutet für uns, immer das Ohr am Markt und am besten bereits eine Lösung in der Schublade zu haben.“

10 Jahre Waldenburger – ein guter Grund zum Feiern!

Der Vorstandsvorsitzende der Waldenburger Versicherung AG, Thomas Gebhardt hat am 01. Oktober 2025 sein 10jähriges Jubiläum gefeiert.

10 Jahre Waldenburger – Auf dieses Jubiläum kann der Vorstandsvorsitzende Thomas Gebhardt zu Recht stolz sein. Gerade in der heutigen Zeit keine Selbstverständlichkeit und Anlass genug für eine kleine Feierstunde. Axel Ziemann, Bereichsleiter International der Würth Gruppe für Leasing und Versicherung und Antonio Niemer, Vorstand Finanzen und IT bei der Waldenburger gratulierten ganz herzlich.

Thomas Gebhardt ist seit Oktober 2015 als Vorstand bei der Waldenburger Versicherung beschäftigt. Neben dem Vorstandsvorsitz ist er unter anderem für die Ressorts Vertrieb, Personal, Schaden, Rückversicherung und Kapitalanlagen zuständig. Ein umfangreiches Aufgabengebiet, welches dem Vorstand aber nach wie vor großen Spaß macht. Wir freuen uns auf die nächsten 10 Jahre!

Die Waldenburger Versicherung bietet auch in diesem Jahr jungen Menschen eine fundierte Ausbildung. Die richtige Mischung an Herausforderungen und Unterstützung auf dem Weg in eine erfolgreiche Zukunft.

Gleich zu Beginn des neuen Schuljahres haben unsere Auszubildenden einen wichtigen Pflichttermin erfolgreich absolviert. Beim Fotoshooting zum Beginn des neuen Ausbildungsjahres zeigten sie sich zusammen mit ihren Ausbildern noch etwas schüchtern, aber dafür bestens gelaunt. Im kaufmännischen Bereich absolvieren aktuell 4 Auszubildende ihre Ausbildung zur Kauffrau bzw. zum Kaufmann für Versicherungen und Finanzanlagen. Die Ausbildung bei der Waldenburg bietet unserem Nachwuchs einiges, nur keine Langeweile. Unser erfahrenes Ausbilderteam sorgt für spannende Aufgaben ab dem ersten Tag. Projektverantwortung bereits während der Ausbildung ist bei der Waldenburger selbstverständlich.

Auch im kommenden Jahr bieten wir Interessierten wieder eine handfeste Ausbildung mit Zukunft. Denn eines ist sicher: Versicherungen wird es immer geben.

Die Waldenburger läuft mal wieder…für die Nachhaltigkeit

Traditionell schnell – 11 Mitarbeitende des Waldenburger Läuferteams haben 2025 am Heilbronner Firmenlauf teilgenommen und den rund 5,6 km langen Kurs erfolgreich absolviert.

In schöner Regelmäßigkeit wird bei der Waldenburger der erste Tag in den Sommerferien genutzt, um sich beim Heilbronner Firmenlauf von der sportlichen Seite zu zeigen. Wie immer konditionell (und vielleicht auch mental) gut vorbereitet, hat das Läuferteam der Waldenburger am 31.07.2025 die Laufschuhe geschnürt und sich auf den Weg durch Heilbronn begeben. Zusammen mit ca. 7.000 Gleichgesinnten machten sich 11 Mitarbeitende in 3 Teams auf den rund 5,6 km langen Kurs. Aufgrund eines kurzfristigen Ausfalls konnte das angepeilte Spendenziel nicht ganz erreicht werden. Der Vorstand der Waldenburger hat daher kurz entschlossen den Betrag aufgestockt, so dass eine Spende in Höhe von 690 Euro dem Waldenburger Moor zugutekommt. Das Waldenburger Laufteam freut sich bereits auf das kommende Jahr. Dabei sein ist schließlich alles.

Waldenburger Versicherung erhält Auszeichnung

Die Waldenburger Versicherung AG konnte erneut die Auszeichnung „Deutschlands Spar-Champion 2025“ in der Kategorie „Hausratversicherung“ gewinnen. Diese erneute Anerkennung zeigt, dass die Waldenburger nicht nur mit attraktiven Konditionen überzeugt, sondern auch das Vertrauen ihrer Kundinnen und Kunden genießt.

Das Deutsche Institut für Service-Qualität und der Fernsehsender ntv haben jetzt den Award „Deutschlands Spar-Champion” unter 276 Unternehmen aus verschiedenen Branchen hinsichtlich der Attraktivität des Preisniveaus vergeben. Die Waldenburger Versicherung AG konnte diese Auszeichnung in der Kategorie „Hausratversicherung“ nach 2024 erneut gewinnen. Damit konnte sie basierend auf einer umfangreichen Analyse von Konditionen und Kundenbewertungen zur Zufriedenheit mit den Preisen überzeugen – und zwar nicht punktuell, sondern über einen längeren Zeitraum von vier Jahren. Insgesamt flossen über 7.600 Preisdaten und gut 22.000 Preisurteile von Kundinnen und Kunden in die Gesamtauswertung ein.

Der Aufsichtsrat der Waldenburger Versicherung AG hat die Verlängerung des Vorstandsvertrages von Antonio Niemer beschlossen.

Der Aufsichtsrat der Waldenburger Versicherung AG hat die Verlängerung des Vorstandsvertrages von Antonio Niemer (46) beschlossen. Der Vertrag zur weiteren Bestellung bis Juli 2031 wurde bereits unterzeichnet.

Antonio Niemer, Master of Business Administration, ist bereits seit 2002 in verschiedenen Funktionen bei der Waldenburger Versicherung tätig. Seit seiner Bestellung zum Vorstand im Juni 2015 verantwortet er die Ressorts Rechnungswesen, Controlling, Risikomanagement, EDV und Meldewesen.

Mit der Wiederbestellung von Antonio Niemer hat der Aufsichtsrat dem Vorstand sein vollstes Vertrauen ausgesprochen und die Zufriedenheit der Würth-Group mit der Entwicklung der Waldenburger Versicherung zum Ausdruck gebracht.

Waldenburg, 26. September 2024 – Der Vorstand der Waldenburger hat sich in diesem Jahr an der Initiative „Managers lend a hand“ beteiligt. Das Projekt sorgt für einen Einblick in die täglichen Herausforderungen der Vertriebspartner und Kunden.

Würth, ein Unternehmen, das für vertrauensvolle Zusammenarbeit und echte Partnerschaft mit seinen Kunden steht, setzt mit „Managers lend a hand“ eine weltweite Initiative um, die 2024 zum zweiten Mal stattfand. Die Waldenburger Versicherung als Tochterunternehmen der Würth-Gruppe war dieses Jahr mit dabei. Dieses Projekt erlaubt es den Vorständen der Waldenburger, ein tieferes Verständnis für die Bedürfnisse ihrer Vertriebspartner und Kunden im täglichen Geschäftsbetrieb zu entwickeln und Lösungen für deren Herausforderungen zu finden. Ebenso können die Geschäftsbeziehungen positiv bestärkt werden.

Die Waldenburger läuft und läuft und läuft…für die Nachhaltigkeit

Waldenburg, 26. Juli 2024 – Das Waldenburger Läuferteam hat auch 2024 traditionell am Heilbronner Firmenlauf teilgenommen. 10 Mitarbeitende haben den rund 5,6 km langen Kurs erfolgreich absolviert.

Traditionell ist der erste Tag in den Sommerferien für den Heilbronner Firmenlauf reserviert. Nach einem Jahr sportlicher und vielleicht auch mentaler Vorbereitung hat das Läuferteam der Waldenburger daher am 25.07.2024 die Laufschuhe geschnürt und sich auf den Weg nach Heilbronn begeben. Zusammen mit ca. 7.000 Gleichgesinnten machten sich 10 Mitarbeitende in 3 Teams auf den rund 5,6 km langen Kurs. Aufgrund kurzfristiger Ausfälle konnte das angepeilte Spendenziel nicht ganz erreicht werden. Der Vorstand der Waldenburger hat daher kurz entschlossen den Betrag aufgestockt, so dass eine Spende in Höhe von 616 Euro dem Waldenburger Moor zugutekommt. Das Waldenburger Laufteam freut sich bereits heute auf die nächste sportliche Herausforderung.
